Paris Fashion Show: Louis Vuitton

The Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2017 show at Paris Fashion Week was held in the majestic Cour Marly of the Louvre's museum, with models showcasing the fashion house's new collection among white marble statues from the reigns of Louis XIV and Louis XV. Audio company De Préférence has worked with Louis Vuitton for many years and had to come up with an inventive solution for the unique and reverberant space. 

After considering and testing many options, Syva from L-Acoustics was chosen due to its remarkable form, sound, and power. It was used in a system comprising 22 Syva placed across the Cour Marly's three levels, giving complete coverage. Alain Français of De Préférence praised the result, stating that Syva delivers a richer sound than other column systems and that its 140-degree horizontal coverage is impressive. With its success at the Paris Fashion Week, the Vuitton team requested its return for an exclusive private dinner and handbag launch in the hall in which the Mona Lisa hangs.

The Louis Vuitton fashion show took place in the historic Cour Marly, with its natural light, ficus trees, and marble statues. With a glass roof, it was a reverberant space, making it difficult to find an audio solution that could cope with the architectural challenges and provide the right amount of SPL and tonal range. Syva from De Préférence proved to be the perfect choice - its fluid form and audio quality won over the Vuitton team.

Alain was stunned by the result of the Syva. Compared to other column systems, Syva offers more bandwidth and richer sound without the need for a sub. Its small size and 140-degree horizontal coverage made it a hit at the Paris Fashion Week and Vuitton requested its return for a special event at the Louvre.
