Frisco, a town in Texas, was once a popular watering hole along the cattle drive trail until the 20th century when Dallas's growth resulted in residency in outlying rural towns. The area lacked a significant Catholic population until Spanish-speaking ranch hands and farmworkers began settling in the 1950s. The closest Catholic churches were in Denton, Plano, and McKinney. After two years of construction, the Catholic Community introduced St. Francis of Assisi to Frisco in 2013, with a dedicated mass by Bishop Keven J. Farrell. |

Fast forward to the spring of 2019, St. Francis of Assisi was faced with an aging sound system and sought a replacement to improve their music's dynamic range and intelligibility. To achieve this, they turned to the Idibri Consultant Group, who suggested using L-Acoustics Soundvision modeling tools to design a small format line array. |

| Electro Acoustics was chosen as the project integrator and used Kiva II and Syva subwoofers to provide concert-quality sound while minimizing room reverberation. Custom enclosures were created by architect David Shanks to blend the arrays into the existing mount and not detract from the church's aesthetic. The new Kiva II sound system exceeded expectations and blended seamlessly into the church's aesthetics, allowing the Committee to forgo a lengthy approval process. The team is excited to hold mass on their new PA. |
